Brain Juice


Recipe for Happiness: Be in a great mood for as much of the time as you can – Dr. Richard Bandler

So here we are in May and I am sure that you like me have enjoyed the amazing sunny weather that we have been blessed with here in the UK.
Isn’t it amazing that the sun shines and we all feel much happier, yet really we have a choice every day to just be happy. Now last week I was lucky enough to go and listen to John La Valle giving a 2 hour talk and he started talking about creating great ‘brain juice’.
Now when we are creating great ‘brain juice’ we are happier – simple huh?
So a simple way is to understand this idea is to imagine that our ‘brains’ is like the hardware of a computer. We are all hard-wired the same, yet what makes us behave differently from each other is the way we think, feel and act, which is our own software.

What most of us don’t realize is that the power of your brain or computer’s hardware varies according to the chemistry of your brain. You can increase and optimise the power and efficiency of your brain, or personal computer by creating better ‘brain juice’ (cranial fluid).

So here’s the thing you are your own cocktail maker; and your brain secretes chemicals that correspond with your thoughts. So if you want to create great ‘brain juice’ which means that your ‘operating system’ is optimised then you have to get happy and positive and then you will be maximising your own ‘cocktails’ for happiness.

So a good metaphor to help you understand the influence of your brain’s chemistry on your performance is a fine-tuned racing engine. Those engines are designed to run on super high-octane gasoline, they sputter when using regular petrol, put diesel in your petrol car your car soon stops.

This is similar to what happens when you are negative. You put low octane chemicals in your brain, causing your mood and performance to suffer. When you are positive, relaxed and happy, your brain, metaphorically, secretes super high-octane chemicals and you start to feel positive, happy, energised.

So quite simply you can alter your own brain chemistry, creating great ‘brain juice’ giving you a natural ‘high’.

So as you want to create a happy and healthy life then start thinking great ‘brain juice’ and get creating your very own cocktail for success.
